"Go
Green" is a term we are very familiar with today.
We know that in order to preserve and protect the world for
our children, we must make changes in our everyday lives and sometimes
give up conveniences today for a better tomorrow.
But where
do we start? What are the most important actions we can take
individually, as families, and as communities to ensure our children
have the best future possible?
We can
start in our own homes by doing our part to conserve and live
sustainable lifestyles. We can
educate each other and our children by utilizing great resources
to learn and take action. We can
make smarter decisions as consumers. We can
get informed about political issues affecting our health and the
health of the planet. We can
join together as informed citizens to demand change.
In April we joined thousands of young activists in Washington
D.C. to demand clean energy and a sustainable future Powershift 2011

"Oh
Beautiful for smoggy skies, insecticided grain, For
strip-mined
mountain's majesty above the asphalt plain. America,
America,
man sheds his waste on thee, And
hides the
pines with billboard signs, from sea to oily sea."
~George Carlin
